About Me

Fiona Mulreany – freelance web/UX professional

I help companies to improve the user experience of their online systems and business applications. The success of any system or application depends on how well it meets users’ needs, how easy it is to use and the quality of experience it provides the users. Using a combination of user research, usability testing, iterative design and prototyping I help businesses to deliver solutions that work for users.

Industry Experience

I have over 15 years experience in the Technology sector. I started out in Intel’s engineering department in 1994 working in data analysis, user training and development of automation software. I began working with the web and online systems in 1999 when I setup my own web services business. Since then I have gained experience in a variety of technical roles including usability testing, prototyping, website design, web development, hosting support and business/technology management. I now run Mulreany Consulting Ltd, a web and UX consultancy service.

Education

I have a Diploma in Information Technology, a B.Sc (Hons), a PGCE in Technology Management and I am currently finishing my Masters Degree in this subject. As part of this course of study I completed courses in User Interface Design & Evaluation, Interaction Design, eLearning and eBusiness Technologies.

You can find out more about the services I offer on my Services page. I am available for short-term contracts or as a freelance resource for website projects.
